Land Acknowledgement

Merlin Metal Jewellery is respectfully located within the traditional territory of the Attawandoran, Anishinaabeg, Lenaapewuk, and Haudenosaunee Nations; land that is also shared by Metis, Inuit, and urban Indigenous community members.

Merlin Metal Jewellery acknowledges the local First Nation communities of this area including the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, Oneida Nation of the Thames, and Munsee-Delaware Nation.

Lauren, founder of Merlin Metal Jewellery, is a former Ontario archaeologist who gratefully spent over a decade working alongside First Nations in forests, farm fields, on the shores of the Great Lakes, and in rural settings. Together they worked to recover, preserve and protect Indigenous material culture and sites for many years. Lauren is deeply grateful to the many First Nations community members for the stories they've shared, their openness and their generosity. She continues to actively learn, listen, and acknowledge her role and privilege as a settler on stolen land.
